North Carolina High School Football Huddle
Tom Knotts, who helped lead Independence to 109-consecutive wins and seven straight North Carolilna Class 4A state football championships, appears ready to move to the Dutch Fork High School in Irmo, South Carolina.
According to The State, all that stands in the way of Knotts taking over the Silver Foxes program, is school board approval next Monday. Knotts, who in addition to being the main man at Independence, has been the head coach at West Charlotte and Harding in Charlotte, brings a 296-60 career record to Dutch Fork.
