How Sweet It Is For Charlotte Christian

Call it a sign of the times in North Carolina. When the Charlotte Observer released its much anticipated Sweet 16 pre-season rankings, it wasn't powerful Independence or Butler or event defending 4AA champ Richmond Senior at the top of the heap, it was Charlotte Christian, which plays in the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association.

According to the Observer, it was the first time that a private school started the season #1.
